No flowers bloom on dead soil

In every thunderclap,

A lightning bolt strikes the human heart.

When I lost you in a single raindrop, I understood.

Those lightning bolts did not fall upon the sky,

But deep into the farthest corners of my heart.

And I only realized this when my soul burned with pain.

I was young, after all,

I had not yet grasped the idea that you could leave.

I thought my heart could not endure your absence.

And when I lost you in a single raindrop,

It seemed as if all my senses vanished within those drops.

When the drops fell upon your soil,

They would not bloom into flowers within my heart.

Yet in your soil, O Lord, you made flowers bloom for me,

You gave, and you took away.

Like this raindrop, you adorned us with all your blessings.

And when you gave all our feelings to our small hearts,

Even when you gave us that very heart,

Why should I blame you for taking back your trust?

Why should I rebel?

Now I try to understand,

How much of you was truly mine to begin with.

I was young, I did not fully comprehend.

It turns out I was the one who lost you.

And when I lost you, I tried to make flowers bloom

Upon your soil.

I was young, I did not understand:

Flowers do not bloom in dead earth.
