Lüleburgaz Ramazan Yaman Science High School

Lüleburgaz Ramazan Yaman Science High School is a public secondary education institution under the authority of the Ministry of National Education of the Republic of Türkiye. The institution continues its educational activities with a vision to cultivate individuals who are guided by scientific inquiry, keep pace with technological advancements, and strive for academic excellence.^【1】

The school building was constructed by businessman Ramazan Yaman. The institution began its educational activities on 11 June 2009. By a letter dated 30 May 2018 and numbered 69543144-E.10590507 from the General Directorate of Secondary Education of the Ministry of National Education, the school was included within the scope of “project school” status.^【2】

The school is administratively subordinate to the Ministry of National Education of the Republic of Türkiye. Its institutional operations are shaped within the framework of restructuring and educational system development initiatives led by the General Directorate of Secondary Education. The institution’s core vision is to produce scientists committed to the principles and reforms of Atatürk and who embrace national and spiritual values.^【3】

The school follows a “standard instruction” system with class hours running from 08:30 to 15:50. The curriculum is structured with a strong emphasis on science subjects and field-specific courses to enable students to achieve their university goals. The teaching staff consists of specialist educators who transmit their knowledge to students through a project-based approach.^【4】

Student admissions are conducted in accordance with centralized examination systems and quota information determined by the Ministry. Dormitory quotas for students coming from outside the city are reassessed and announced annually.^【5】

The school is located 500 meters from the center of Lüleburgaz district, on Selami Şaşmaz Street in Sevgi Neighborhood. The campus includes 12 classrooms, one physics laboratory, one chemistry laboratory, one biology laboratory, one information technology classroom, and a library with a capacity of 1200 books.

Additionally, the institution has an art classroom, a music classroom, and a computer laboratory. The campus, heated by natural gas, includes a dormitory building with a capacity of 200 students (100 female and 100 male), situated within the same courtyard as the main school building.

Dormitory rooms accommodate four students each and include study rooms, a dining hall, and relaxation areas. The institution also operates a medical clinic and a dining hall.^【6】

The school’s administrative staff consists of one principal, one deputy principal, and two assistant principals. Twenty-seven teachers serve as educational personnel. Four support staff and four kitchen staff are employed to provide auxiliary services.^【7】

A total of 347 students are currently enrolled. The student profile consists of individuals with high academic potential who are focused on science-oriented university programs and demonstrate strong interest in the natural sciences.^【8】

Two multi-purpose halls are available on campus to support students’ social development. Regular sports, artistic, and scientific activities are organized within the institution. Dedicated art and music classrooms contribute to students’ cultural development.^【9】

As a designated project school, the institution prioritizes scientific research projects and innovative discoveries. Administrative staff and teachers are selected based on their experience in project-based education. Various scientific events and research projects are conducted within the school to guide students toward active participation in scientific inquiry.^【10】
