Kent Park (Sakarya)

Kent Park is a recreation and nature tourism area located approximately one kilometer from the city center of Adapazarı district in Sakarya Province. The area is directly accessible by urban transportation vehicles, features an asphalt road, and is open to visitors throughout all seasons of the year.

The park was built on the land formerly occupied by the Old Agricultural Equipment Factory. The park was created by transforming a 160,000 square meter debris area, preserving the site’s natural topography and existing trees, and covering the entire surface with grass. The Çark Stream, which flows immediately alongside the park, contributes to the sustained vitality of the vegetation throughout the year.

In the central section of the park lies a 14,000 square meter pond. Two bridges have been constructed to provide access to the small islands within the pond, which feature tree cover and create shaded areas. Additionally, within the park’s overall landscape, a traditional watermill has been reconstructed in accordance with its original design.

The park offers various amenities to support visitors’ physical and social activities. In addition to a 4,500 square meter walking path, the park includes pedestrian and bicycle paths extending along the Çark Stream. For sports activities, facilities have been provided including a tennis court, an indoor swimming pool, and various sports sections.

The park hosts various public events, particularly concerts. To meet visitors’ food and beverage needs, the park features snack kiosks, a traditional tent-style pavilion, and an aircraft restaurant that operates as both a dining establishment and a reading area.
