Discovery Campus

Discovery Campus is an educational initiative developed by Türkiye Technology Team Foundation to provide children with access to scientific and technological knowledge. The project aims to encourage students to participate in inquiry-based and exploration-driven learning processes through thematic workshops. In addition, activities focused on row, art, and personal development are carried out to support students’ social and emotional competencies.

At Discovery Campus, students from first grade to eighth grade participate in group-based workshop activities on designated weekdays. In addition, students selected through a specific examination process receive specialized education on weekends within a structured curriculum framework. Workshops are supported by experimental setups and aim to provide students with opportunities to learn concepts through practical and experiential methods.

The educational content covers disciplines such as natural sciences, mathematics, physics, chemistry, human sciences, technology, astronomy, and aviation, alongside personal development like. This holistic approach aims to support students’ cognitive and social development in an integrated manner.

• Weekday Education Model: Under the theme “A Different Day in Education,” this model enables students to visit the campus on specific dates and participate in one-day, workshop-based education alongside their schools.

• Weekend Education Model: Students who successfully pass the e-exam and project exam stages are enrolled in a specialized program spanning 384 hours over two years, primarily taking place on weekends.

Students seeking admission to Discovery Campus undergo a two-stage evaluation process:

1. E-Exam: This online examination aims to assess students’ analytical and interpretive skills in Turkish, Mathematics, Natural Sciences, Algorithm, and General Knowledge. The exam consists of 40 questions and lasts 80 minute. Based on the ranking, the top 550 students qualify for the second stage.

2. Project Exam: In this stage, students are expected to develop project-based solution proposals within a given problem context. Based on evaluation, the top 256 students are admitted to the free educational program offered by Discovery Campus.

• Gaziantep Discovery Campus: This campus became operational on 23 April 2022 through the collaboration of the Gaziantep Governorship, Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality, Türkiye Technology Team Foundation, and local universities.

• Samsun Discovery Campus: Opened on 15 April 2023 following the TEKNOFEST Black Sea event.

• Canik Özdemir Bayraktar Discovery Campus: Established on 15 April 2023 in the Canik district of Samsun.
