SAR 762 MT Series

SAR 762 MT Series, is a family of 7.62x51 mm machine guns developed and manufactured in Türkiye with indigenous design and engineering. The series includes models designed for infantry use as well as variant configurations adapted for vehicle-mounted installations.

The SAR 762 MT uses 7.62x51 mm NATO ammunition. The weapon operates via a gas-operated system with an open-bolt mechanism. It employs M13-type disintegrating links for feeding ammunition. Fire selection options include safe, single shot, and full automatic fire.

The effective range of the weapon is measured at 1,100 metres, while its maximum range is 3,725 metres. The barrel is designed for a minimum service life of 50,000 rounds. Additionally, the weapon is capable of operating reliably in temperature ranges from -42°C to +71°C.

The SAR 762 MT-A is a rifle model designed for integration into Remote Weapon Stations (RWS). It has been specifically developed for compatibility with 4x4 armoured vehicles. This variant has a barrel length of 670 millimetres and a total weight of 10.8 kilograms. The rate of fire ranges between 550 and 650 rounds per minute.
