Mustafa Şen (born 2001, Serik, Antalya) was a Gendarmerie Non-Commissioned Officer. He completed his primary and secondary education in the district of Manavgat and graduated from high school on 21 June 2019. In 2020 he took the university entrance exam and was admitted to the Psychology department in Cyprus. During the same period he was accepted into the Gendarmerie Non-Commissioned Officer Vocational School and left his Psychology studies to enroll there.^【1】

He completed his training at the Gendarmerie Non-Commissioned Officer Vocational School of the Ankara Gendarmerie and Coast Guard Academy between 25 October 2020 and 22 August 2022 and was promoted to the rank of Gendarmerie Non-Commissioned Officer Sergeant on 30 August 2022. Between 2022 and 2023 he served as Team Commander at the 6th Gendarmerie Training Platoon in Bilecik and later completed commando training with distinction at the Foça Gendarmerie Commando Training Command over a six-month period.

After completing commando training he was assigned by the 2023 general postings to the Şırnak/Çakırsöğüt Gendarmerie Commando Brigade as Unit Commander. On 30 April 2024, during an operation at the Pire Tepe location in Güleşli Village, Şırnak Center, the armored vehicle he was in overturned into a ditch, resulting in serious injuries. He was transported to the Şırnak Martyr Major General Aydoğan Aydın State Hospital. Despite all medical interventions he could not be saved and attained martyrdom.^【2】

A closed ceremony for Martyr Mustafa Şen and his fellow soldier Enes Ertaş was held at the 23rd Infantry Division Command. Attendees included Şırnak Governor Cevdet Atay, 23rd Infantry Division Commander Major General Emre Tayanç, Mayor Mehmet Yarka, and Şırnak Gendarmerie Commander Major General Murat Bulut. After the ceremony in Şırnak, the body of Martyr Mustafa Şen was transported from Şırnak to his hometown of Antalya.^【3】

The body of the martyr was laid to rest in the Manavgat district of Antalya. The funeral ceremony was attended by family members, friends, and various political figures including Governor Hulusi Şahin, Metropolitan Mayor Muhittin Böcek, Deputy Gendarmerie Commander Lieutenant General Halis Zafer Koç, Provincial Police Director Orhan Çevik, and Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Brigadier General Tarık Hekimoğlu.^【4】

Following his death, Mustafa Şen was commemorated and his name was preserved by his family and loved ones, who regularly visited his home. A special room established in his house^【6】 and a school named after him in his hometown of Antalya are among the ways he is honored.
