The model in the museum was inspired by a photograph taken in 1914. Built at a 1:150 scale, the model includes approximately 1,860 architectural buildings and structures. The model area itself covers 80 square meters. Additionally, figures of people, animals, and vehicles are also featured within the model to enhance realism.
Mount Harşena was scanned using 125 million data points to create a detailed survey for the model. This part was constructed with 1/1000 precision using CNC machines. The buildings were produced with high-strength composite materials using 3D printers.
The model does not only reflect the architectural layout of the city, but also presents a living depiction of Amasya, featuring elements like the Yeşilırmak River, moving figures, and a train. Visitors can listen to city sounds accompanied by soft background music, and experience a transition from day to night through dynamic lighting effects. The night scene is enhanced with a simulation of 2,300 stars and urban illumination, offering a captivating visual experience.
