Eskişehir Tepebaşı Borsa İstanbul Fen Lisesi

Borsa İstanbul Fen Lisesi, is a secondary education institution located in the Tepebaşı district of Eskişehir province, offering a curriculum focused on the natural sciences. The school was established on 11 March 2020 under Ministry Authority Decision No. 5330110 under the name Borsa İstanbul Fen Lisesi and began operations in the 2020–2021 academic year.^【2】 Since its founding, the institution has continued its academic activities with the status of a science high school.^【3】

The institution is a public science high school under the authority of the Ministry of National Education of the Republic of Türkiye. Its institutional code is 767155. The administrative headquarters is located at Muttalıp Orta Mahallesi, Işık Caddesi, No: 67/68, Tepebaşı/Eskişehir. The institution is managed in accordance with Total Quality Management (TQM) principles and international quality standards (ISO).^【4】

Educational activities are conducted Monday through Friday from 08:15 to 15:20. In addition to the standard science high school curriculum, emphasis is placed on foreign language education; English is taught as the first foreign language and German as the second foreign language.^【5】

Student admissions are based on the results of the centralized examination (LGS). The student quota for the 2026–2027 academic year is set at 120. The minimum admission scores over the years are as follows: 428.44 in 2020, 405.10 in 2021, 437.32 in 2022, 466.545 in 2023, 464.745 in 2024, and 453.903 in 2025.^【6】

The school campus is situated in an ecologically suitable location, near public institutions and within a forested area. The physical infrastructure includes a natural gas heating system and ADSL internet connectivity. The campus comprises 20 renovated classrooms, three fully equipped science laboratories, an information technology laboratory, a library, a multi-purpose hall, a sports hall, and volleyball and basketball courts. Additionally, the institution operates as a boarding school and provides dormitory facilities.^【7】

The administration has adopted a student-centered educational model guided by teachers. The teaching staff mentors students in projects related to science, art, and literature. The administrative structure is designed to sustain student achievement and institutional development.^【8】

The student profile of the institution is characterized by high academic achievement and placement rates. The student placement rate through entrance examinations was 68% in 2024 and rose to 81% in 2025. The institution aims to develop students who are collaborative team members, capable of empathy, and media literate.

Active activities are carried out in many sports disciplines. Events are organized in orienteering, futsal, volleyball, basketball, athletics, table tennis, chess, and mangala for both male and female students. During the 2022–2023 academic year, school teams achieved one national second place, one regional first place, two regional third places, and a total of nine provincial placements in orienteering, chess, table tennis, and athletics.^【9】

Within the framework of scientific activities, participation in science olympiads and TeknoFest applications is regularly organized. The institution implements national-level projects through TÜBİTAK and the e-Twinning platform. At the international level, project activities are conducted under the Erasmus+ program.^【10】
