Bugatti W16 Mistral

Bugatti W16 Mistral is a fully open-top (roadster) hypercar developed by the French automobile manufacturer Bugatti. Introduced in 2022, the model was designed as the final representative of Bugatti’s road-legal vehicles powered by the quad-turbo W16 engine. The Mistral is a special production project that concludes the W16 engine family by offering it for the last time in a series-produced automobile.

Bugatti introduced the W16 engine architecture to the automotive world with the Veyron launched in 2005, and subsequently enhanced its performance and durability through derivatives such as the Chiron, Divo, and Centodieci. The W16 Mistral was unveiled in 2022 as the final model in this engine family. The primary objective of its development was to present Bugatti’s W16 power unit in an open-top body structure and to conclude the engineering legacy of this engine with a unique limited-production model. The vehicle is handcrafted at Bugatti’s facilities in Molsheim, where the brand’s traditional craftsmanship is combined with advanced aerodynamic engineering.

The design of the W16 Mistral follows Bugatti’s “Form Follows Performance” philosophy. To ensure high-speed stability in an open-top body, the chassis rigidity has been increased, airflow channels have been optimized, and engine cooling ducts have been repositioned.
