Bombardier Challenger 604

The Bombardier Challenger 604 is a business jet developed and manufactured by Bombardier Aerospace as a member of the Challenger series, whose foundations lie in the "Learstar" concept. This aircraft underwent serial production between 1995 and 2007 and is a significantly upgraded version of its predecessor, the Challenger 601 model, particularly the 601-3A and 601-3R variants. During its development, the aircraft was integrated with much more powerful engines, increased fuel capacity, a new landing gear system, and critical structural improvements to the wings and tail sections. Recognized as one of the first business jets to feature a supercritical wing design in aviation history, the Challenger 604 has also been utilized by various international military institutions, including the United States Coast Guard, in a command and control aircraft role. The wide-body architecture is a fundamental element in the Challenger 604’s interior design, maximizing passenger comfort. The cabin features exceptionally low noise levels and is equipped with a luxury-standard galley, lavatory, wardrobe, and a baggage compartment of 3.26 cubic meters (115 cubic feet) that remains accessible during flight. The Challenger 604 is powered by two General Electric CF34-3B turbofan engines, each producing 8,729 pounds of thrust at takeoff. This engine configuration provides approximately 3 percent better fuel efficiency compared to the engine systems of its predecessor, the CL601-31A.
