Pulbiber Neighborhood (Book)

Pulbiber Mahallesi is the third and final poetry collection by Turkish poet Didem Madak. First published in March 2007 by Metis Yayınları, its second edition was released in November 2012 by the same publisher. The first edition contained 21 poems; in the second edition, four previously unpublished poems by Madak, titled “128 dikişli şiir,” were added along with an essay by the poet’s close friend Müjde Bilir.

The first edition (2007), comprising 21 poems, includes titles such as “Pulbiber Mahallesi,” “Bombay Patlıyor Mahallede,” and “Bizden Başkalarına, Onlara, Çocuklara.” The 2012 edition adds an additional section titled “Ardından,” which features the poet’s final poems and Bilir’s text.
