Spor Toto Akhisar Stadium

Sports Spor Toto Akhisar Stadium is a sports complex located in the Akhisar district of Manisa, notable for its modern design. Built to UEFA standards, stadium has a seating capacity of 12,139. Its inauguration took place on 28 January 2018 during the 19th week of the Süper Lig, with the match between Teleset Mobilya Akhisarspor and Antalyaspor.

The stadium’s pitch is designed as a hybrid grass surface and measures 105 by 68 metres. Also known as Akhisar Arena, the complex was constructed not only to host only football matches but also to accommodate various other sporting events. The architectural concept draws inspiration from the olive tree, a symbol of Akhisar, with its steel structure roof designed in the shape of olive leaves.

Construction of the stadium began in 2011 following an agreement signed between the Akhisar Municipality Presidency and the Ministry of Youth and Sports. The construction process encountered several delays and the project underwent multiple revisions. After cancellations and re-tendering during the initial bidding phase, the project was completed by May İnşaat Commitment Ltd. Şti. at a cost of 71 million 240 thousand TL.

The Spor Toto Akhisar Stadium was designed not merely as a football field but as a comprehensive sports complex. In addition to the 12,000-seat football stadium, the complex includes a 2,000-seat indoor sports hall and a 600 vehicle-capacity covered parking area. The indoor sports hall was planned as a multi-purpose venue and adapted for use by basketball, volleyball and handball like disciplines. Additionally, the complex features various sections dedicated to social and cultural activities, including a central fitness facility, yoga-pilates halls and exhibition areas.

The Spor Toto Akhisar Stadium has become a central hub for sports and social activities for the people of Akhisar. It is a distinctive project noted for its modern design, compliance with UEFA standards, and incorporation of symbolic elements of Akhisar. Since its opening, it has continued to support the regional sports culture by hosting numerous events, primarily featuring Akhisarspor.
