Soğucak Plateau

Soğucak Yaylası is a highland located within the boundaries of the Sapanca district of Sakarya province. It is situated 17 kilometers from the Sapanca district center.

The highland covers an area of approximately 900 dunams. Its elevation above sea level is reported in various sources as between 1,100 and 1,110 meters.

Access to the highland is provided via the Sapanca-Muradiye Village route. Visitors take a right turn before reaching Erdemli Village to reach the area. From the Sapanca-Soğucak Yaylası junction, the distance to the highland is 15 kilometers. The road to the highland is unpaved and the journey takes approximately 35 minutes. In addition, vehicles depart from the Donatım Orta Garajlar location to reach the Sapanca district center.

Annually, typically during the second week of July, the "Soğucak Yayla Festivals" are held in the region. Although the official festival program lasts one day, visitor traffic begins a week before the event. Activities during the festivals include:

• Bicycle and horse races.
• Karakuşak wrestling competitions.
• Folklore performances.
• Folk concerts.

The highland is open to visitors throughout the four seasons and is used for activities such as camping and nature walking.
