Samovodska Market (7-12)
Samovodska Bazaar is a historic market located in the heart of Tırnova, Bulgaria. Established in the 19th century, this market served for many years as the city’s key economic and cultural center.
On Wednesdays and Fridays especially, the bazaar was particularly crowded. People came here to purchase food items such as fresh milk, cheese, and butter.

- Blacksmithing and Copperwork: Household items and decorative objects were crafted.
- Weaving and Textiles: Traditional clothing was woven.
- Ceramics and Wood Carving: Pottery and wooden decorative items were manufactured.
- Dessert Making and Baking: Traditional sweets and baked goods were prepared.

The buildings of the Samovodska Bazaar are notable for their historic stone walls and wooden balconies. Walking through its narrow stone streets feels like traveling back in time. Thanks to restoration efforts carried out in the 1980s, the bazaar has retained its original appearance.

Every year between September 22 and 24, the “Samovodska Bazaar Night” is held. During this event, music, dance performances, and traditional crafts are displayed. Visitors can purchase simit, candies, and handmade souvenirs here.
