Sami Fire Anatolian High School

Sami Yangın Anadolu Lisesi is an upper secondary education institution operating in the Kocasinan district of Kayseri province, Türkiye. The institution conducts its educational and instructional activities under the authority of the Ministry of National Education. Its core vision is to be a pioneering institution in education, art, sports, and scientific fields, guided by national and spiritual values and aligned with the principles and reforms of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.

Its mission is to enable students to effectively use Turkish and a foreign language, prepare them for higher education programs according to their interests and talents, and cultivate researchers who are at peace with themselves.^【1】

Sami Yangın Anadolu Lisesi has developed academically and socially throughout its operational history. Particularly during the 13-year period between 2012 and 2025, it established a tradition of sustainable academic success and achieved various accomplishments at the provincial, regional, and national levels. The institution’s development encompasses a broad spectrum ranging from athletic achievements to technological innovations.^【2】

The school operates as an Anadolu Lisesi under the authority of the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of National Education. Its institutional structure is shaped according to the curricula and regulations established by the Ministry. Administratively, it is subordinate to the Kayseri Governorship and the Kocasinan District Directorate of National Education.^【3】

Educational activities at the institution take place between 08:30 and 15:40. The language of instruction is Turkish; foreign language instruction includes English and German. The school’s educational infrastructure includes Fiber Internet connectivity under the Fatih Project.^【4】

Sami Yangın Anadolu Lisesi admits students based on central examination scores. Capacity and minimum score data vary by year. The capacity, which was 170 in the 2017-2018 period, has fluctuated between 120 and 245 in subsequent years. Current minimum scores are set at 428.1350 for 9th grade, 438.1493 for 10th grade, 464.3763 for 11th grade, and 389.4267 for 12th grade.^【5】

The school campus is located at Nil Caddesi No:91, Fevzi Çakmak Neighborhood, Kocasinan district, Kayseri province, adjacent to İnönü Park and opposite İbrahim Halilullah Camii. Heating is provided by a radiator system. School transportation services operate across all regions of Kayseri.^【6】

Sports activities include training and competitions in basketball, volleyball, orienteering, kickboxing, futsal, taekwondo, badminton, billiards, swimming, and chess. In the 2016-2017 season, the Girls’ Junior Orienteering team became National Champions, and in the 2017-2018 season, a student won the National Championship in Kickboxing.

In the cultural domain, the school won 12 awards at the 12th International High School Theater Festival and organized various artistic events and official ceremonies, including concerts of Turkish Folk Music and Turkish Film Music.^【9】

Scientific and technological projects include participation in TÜBİTAK science fairs and research initiatives. The school has achieved regional-level recognition in TÜBİTAK competitions in physics, chemistry, and computer science. In the Teknofest 2024-2025 Electric Vehicle Competition, it secured fourth place in the local category and sixth place in the track category.

On the international level, the school conducts activities under the European Union Erasmus+ and eTwinning programs. It also maintains cooperation protocols with universities, civil society organizations, and the Kayseri Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports.^【10】
