Placita Philosophorum: The Doctrines of the Philosopher (Book)

Placita Philosophorum is a Turkish translation and comparative presentation of an ancient doxographical work attributed to Plutarch. Considered a significant source in the history of natural sciences and philosophy, the work was published in May 2024 as part of Dergâh Yayınları’s Philosophy series.

The work systematically presents the views of pre-Socratic philosophers on nature. It also provides a detailed analysis of the influence of Stoic thinkers like Boethius on both Aristotelian and Neoplatonic texts, as well as their reflection in Islamic philosophy.
