Palestinian Children's Day

Palestinian Children’s Day is a day of remembrance declared on 5 April 1995 by former Palestinian President Yasser Arafat in response to the human rights violations Palestinian children face under Israeli occupation. The day highlights the living conditions of Palestinian children surrounded by phenomena such as occupation, blockade, poverty, housing insecurity, difficulties in accessing education and healthcare, detention and arrest, displacement, and death.
