No More (Film)

Yok Artık is a multi-character, multi-narrative comedy film released in Türkiye in 2015, directed by Caner Özyurtlu. The screenplay, written by Serkan Altuniğne, humorously portrays absurd events drawn from everyday life through intersecting stories of diverse characters.

The film centers on Faruk (Serkan Keskin), a taxi driver working at a taxi stand. Each passenger who enters his taxi shares with him extraordinary, hard-to-believe incidents from their own lives. These narratives unfold around five main characters: a woman deceived by her roommate, a man going through divorce proceedings, a woman struggling with problems in her engagement, and a teacher preparing to resign from her profession. Each story reveals the absurd and ironic aspects of modern urban life.

Filming took place in various neighborhoods across Istanbul. As in his previous projects, director Caner Özyurtlu emphasized naturalistic performances and real locations to enhance authenticity. The film was produced by Yamaç Yapım and distributed in Türkiye through UIP Türkiye.

Yok Artık generates humor through the daily tragicomic encounters individuals face in urban life, while also offering a critical perspective on social norms, expectations in relationships, disappointments, and the pressures of modern living. Although each story appears so absurd as to be implausible, they are deliberately crafted to evoke in viewers the feeling of “That’s just too much,” which directly aligns with the film’s title, Yok Artık.

The film’s production budget has not been disclosed to the public. According to Box Office Türkiye data, Yok Artık was watched by 386,838 viewers nationwide and generated a total revenue of ₺3,365,345. It opened with 99,960 viewers in its first weekend.
