Muhammet Khalvandi (born 11 January 1990, Kermanshah) is a national para-athlete specializing in the F57 javelin throw category. Born in Kermanshah, Iran in 1990, the athlete began competing internationally for Türkiye in 2019. Khalvandi continues his career under the Bursagücü Youth and Sports Club and conducts his professional training and preparation in Mersin.

Khalvandi was born on 11 January 1990 in Iran. He initially competed for the Iranian national team at the start of his sporting career but in 2019 he obtained the right to represent Türkiye and officially registered his national athlete status with the Republic of Türkiye. The athlete resides in Mersin and carries out his professional preparation at sports facilities in the city. At the club level he competes under the Bursagücü Youth and Sports Club.

In 2023 Khalvandi competed in the F57 javelin throw category at the World Para Athletics Championships held in Paris France. He recorded a throw of 49.98 metres in the competition and initially placed second. After technical objections were reviewed he was awarded the gold medal. This victory also secured his qualification for the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games.
In February 2024 Khalvandi won gold at the World Para Athletics Grand Prix in Dubai maintaining his form. Shortly after this achievement he set a new world record of 51.60 metres in a competition held in Türkiye.
At the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games representing Türkiye Khalvandi won the silver medal in the final competition finishing second overall and securing a podium position.
The 2025 World Para Athletics Championships held in New Delhi India marked one of the highest achievements of Khalvandi’s career. Competing in the F57 javelin throw category he threw 53.30 metres improving his own world record. With this performance he became world champion for the second consecutive time.
Muhammet Khalvandi continues his training in Mersin to sustain his international success. His primary motivation and goal is to complete his career by winning the gold medal at the 2028 Paralympic Games in Los Angeles.
