Levent Ünsal, born on 19 May 1964 in Istanbul, is an actor in film and television, presenter and voice artist. He completed his education at Galatasaray High School and later studied at the Radio and Television Broadcasting High School of Istanbul University, Press. His interest in the arts manifested early through performances on the theatre stage.

In 1983, Ünsal debuted on stage with Ferhan Şensoy’s Ortaoyuncular troupe and performed in numerous productions with this group for approximately two decades. He delivered performances in works such as Şahları da Vururlar, Cyrano de Bergerac, Üç Kurşunluk Opera, Kuş Kafesi, Karmakarışık, Eşek Arıları, Seyircili Seyir Defteri, and Patron Kim?. He earned the admiration of theatre audiences through his success in both comedic and dramatic roles.

Beyond theatre, Ünsal also worked in the fields of radio and television. In 1992, he began his career in radio presenting at Kent FM, becoming one of Turkey’s first spoken-word radio presenters. He later hosted programs on Hür FM, Best FM and NTV Radyo. In television, he presented the game shows Tek mi Çift mi? on TGRT between 1996 and 1998, and Çürük Elma on ATV.

As a voice artist, Ünsal participated in significant projects, notably lending his voice to the character Fil Necati in the animated series Kral Şakir.

In addition, Ünsal appeared in films such as Pardon (2005), Propaganda and Ay Lav Yu.

Ünsal, who delivered powerful performances on the theatre stage, won the Best Comedy Actor award at the Yazın Dostları Theatre Awards for his role in Kuş Kafesi, and received the title Best Male Comedy Actor of the Year at the Sadri Alışık Awards for his performance in Cyrano de Bergerac.

Levent Ünsal was married to theatre artist Pınar Alsan Ünsal and had two child from this marriage. He died on 21 March 2020 in Istanbul at the age of 55 following a heart crisis and was buried at Kocasinan Cemetery.
