KEMANKEŞ 2 Mini Smart Cruise Missile

KEMANKEŞ 2 is a mini smart cruise missile developed indigenously by Baykar for use against strategic targets. The name KEMANKEŞ is derived from historical Turkish archers who, even under the most challenging conditions, struck their targets with perfect accuracy using their arrows. Equipped with an AI-assisted autopilot system, KEMANKEŞ 2 can conduct autonomous flight and neutralize strategic targets with high precision.

Capable of remaining airborne for approximately thirty minutes, KEMANKEŞ 2 can effectively engage the most dangerous targets behind enemy lines thanks to its indigenous jet engine. Unlike kamikaze drones, it can return to base if the mission is aborted, offering the advantage of reusability.

KEMANKEŞ 2, the second variant of the KEMANKEŞ mini smart cruise missile series, is designed for deployment against strategic areas inaccessible to manned or unmanned aerial vehicles. It features rocket-assisted launch or vehicle-based launch systems. The platform conducted its first test flight on 16 April 2024, and development activities are ongoing:

The KEMANKEŞ Mini Smart Cruise Missile has a mission range of 150 kilometers and can identify and destroy its target with pinpoint accuracy even under adverse weather conditions, thanks to its AI-assisted optical guidance system. The platform can perform autonomous flight through AI support in its autopilot system. KEMANKEŞ 2 can operate during both day and night and is capable of performing missions without interference from electronic jamming due to its anti-jamming technology. It employs EO (Electro-Optical) and GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) guidance systems for route tracking and target acquisition. Additionally, the platform can transmit all collected data and imagery to the ground control station, providing real-time situational awareness to the operator.

Another key feature of the platform is its ability to return to base after mission abort, either via parachute or by landing on its fuselage. The system, capable of remaining airborne for 30 minutes, can conduct deep strikes into enemy territory at high speed thanks to its jet engine. Key technical specifications are as follows:
