KANS Bayonet Hunting Rifle

Kans is a rifled hunting rifle model developed by Machine and Chemical Industry Corporation (MKE) targeting the civilian shooting market. This rifle is a product of MKE’s strategy to transfer its domestic and national defense industry capabilities to the civilian sector, and it has drawn attention for its potential to compete in the global market. Kans was first unveiled to the public at the Prohunt Hunting, Firearms and Nature Sports Fair held in Istanbul in 2024.

The design of Kans focuses on optimizing the shooter’s performance and safety. Its primary technical features and structural components are as follows:

The rifle features a 65 cm long rifled barrel designed to enhance shooting precision. This feature is critical for professional hunting disciplines requiring long-range shots.

The stock and grip are manufactured from polymer-based composite materials. This material selection minimizes the rifle’s weight while providing high resistance to environmental factors such as thermal fluctuations and impact. An adjustable cheek piece mechanism allows the shooter to finely adjust their aiming position according to their physiological characteristics, thereby enhancing ergonomic performance.

An integrated safety lever located in front of the trigger group is designed to maximize operational safety. This system provides an additional layer of security by preventing accidental discharge.

Kans uses the widely adopted and effective .308 Winchester caliber. This caliber delivers sufficient stopping power against medium and large game animals. The rifle is equipped with a 3+1 round magazine.

Kans is part of MKE’s efforts to strengthen its presence in the civilian firearms market. Its development process is recognized as a demonstration of domestic engineering and production capacity. The rifle’s presentation at international platforms such as the Prohunt Fair has enabled it to reach potential global buyers.
