KAAN-717

Kaan 717 Carbine-Type Rifle is a carbine-type infantry rifle developed in Türkiye using indigenous and national capabilities. Designed and manufactured by MKE (Mechanical and Chemical Industry Corporation), the Kaan 717 has been developed with modern military requirements in mind. The rifle provides versatile usage options for both internal security units and the Turkish Armed Forces.

The Kaan 717 is based on the AR-10 platform but has been developed using indigenous engineering and manufacturing techniques. It delivers high firepower. Thanks to its modular design, it can rapidly adapt to different mission types and offers effective use in both military operations and special assignments by law enforcement units.

With the Picatinny rail system, accessories such as laser designators, scopes and night vision devices can be easily mounted. The adjustable and foldable stock enables comfortable use by different users. The variety of barrel lengths allows the rifle to be employed across a wide range of missions, from close-quarters operations to designated marksman roles.

The Kaan 717 is one of Türkiye’s defense industry projects and aims to reduce the country’s external dependency through domestic production. The rifle, which is ready for series production, is currently being developed and tested for use in both the domestic and export markets. Introduced by MKE at international defense exhibitions, the Kaan 717 stands out as a modern and competitive carbine.
