Gaziantep Metropolitan Stadium

Gaziantep Stadium is a place complex located in the Beylerbeyi Neighborhood of the Şehitkamil District in Gaziantep, covering an area of modern and built on a sports site of 106,000 m². Designed in accordance with UEFA and FIFA standards, the stadium has a seating capacity of approximately 31,000.

The stadium was designed by Bahadır Kul Architects and constructed using a combination of steel and reinforced concrete building elements. The building’s load-bearing system consists of 16 blocks with 15 expansion joints, while the roof support systems are reinforced with steel structures. The exterior façade of the stadium is clad with panels featuring a mosaic aesthetic that reflects Gaziantep’s historical and cultural heritage.

Located approximately 10 km from the center of Gaziantep, the stadium sits at the intersection of industry and residential unit areas and is accessible via multiple transportation options. Road connections provide easy access from various parts of the city.

The stadium, with a double-tiered tribune structure, has a seating capacity of approximately 33,000 and is divided into four main tribune sections: east-west and north-south. Each tribune includes an adequate number of restrooms and concession areas below, while 12 sports halls for individual disciplines are located beneath the tribunes.

Due to Gaziantep’s influence from the Mediterranean climate, solar shading devices have been installed on the southern façade of the stadium. The exterior surfaces are predominantly colored red and black, the official colors of Gaziantepspor.

Construction of the stadium began in 2013 and continued throughout 2016, with the facility opening for service in January 2017. The opening match was contested between home team Gaziantepspor and Antalyaspor, which Gaziantepspor lost 0–3.
