Ferizli Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School for Girls

Ferizli Kız Mesleki ve Technical Anatolia Lisesi, briefly known as FMTAL, is a school that has been providing educational instruction services in the Ferizli district of Sakarya since 2010.

School It began operations in the 2010-2011 academic year under the name Ferizli Female Technical and Vocational High School. In the 2013-2014 academic year, it underwent a name change to Ferizli Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School. The school admits female students only. Therefore, as of the 2024-2025 academic year, the term “female” was added to its name, transforming it into Ferizli Kız Mesleki ve Teknik Anadolu Lisesi .

The school is located in the Kemalpaşa neighborhood, one of the neighborhoods of the Ferizli district in Sakarya province. It is situated in a central location relative to the district directorate. Access to the school is possible from the district center. The Ferizli district, where the school is located, is 20 kilometers from the provincial capital and is accessible via Ferizli district buses.

The school offers four different types of educational units .

- Anatolian Vocational Program – AVP

This program falls under formal education. Within the program, students receive both vocational training and general knowledge courses. Vocational field education is provided in the 9th grade, and specialized branch education is offered in the 10th, 11th, and 12th grades according to the student’s chosen field.

- Vocational Open High School – VOHS

This type of school operates under distance education. Its content is at the same level as formal vocational high schools but differs in structure and delivery. Education is delivered through distance learning, and graduation, progression, and assessment are based on a credit system. In this widespread education program, vocational courses are typically conducted face-to-face at formal vocational education institutions to develop students’ skills to develop.

- Vocational Education Center

This program is part of formal education. Students enroll in these centers to receive apprenticeship and master training. To initiate the educational process, a suitable workplace and a master instructor must be identified for the chosen field and specialization, and a Ministry of National Education Agreement on Vocational Education in Workplaces must be signed. Students participating in this program retain student status and enjoy all student rights.

- Application Class

This program is a formal early childhood education initiative. The Application Class refers to a facility within vocational and technical secondary education institutions where education is provided for children aged 36 to 68 months in the field of child development and education child.

Within the AVP and VOHS programs, the fields of Child Development and Education and Textile Technologies are offered. Within the Vocational Education Center, only the Textile Technologies field is available. Under the Child Development and Education field, training is provided in the specialization of Early Childhood and Special Education, and under the Textile Technologies field, training is offered in the specialization of Textile Dyeing, Finishing and Laboratory Technology.
