Ekşisu Recreation Area

Approximately 7 kilometers east of the city center of Erzincan, the Ekşisu Marshland is one of the wetlands of the Eastern Anatolia Region. Located between the Munzur and Keşiş Mountains, this site attracts attention due to its rich water sources, vegetation cover, and bird diversity. Thanks to its accessibility and environmental characteristics, the marshland, which holds potential for scientific research, conservation efforts, and sustainable tourism, has been under protection for 17 years. Located seven kilometers from Erzincan, midway between the Munzur and Keşiş Mountains, the Ekşisu Marshland is one of the most striking natural areas in the Eastern Anatolia Region.
