Dabbe is a 2006 Turkish horror thriller film directed by Hasan Karacadağ. The film centers on mysterious suicide cases that began in the United States and spread to Türkiye, and their connection to the apocalyptic sign mentioned in the Quran, “Dabbe’tül Arz”.

In late 2005, a mysterious suicide outbreak that began in the United States quickly spread to Türkiye. Tarık, who lives in Selçuk, İzmir, commits a horrific suicide after prolonged internet use. Police investigating the incident contact Tarık’s friends Hande, Cem and Sema. However, shortly after Tarık’s death, the young people begin receiving strange emails and encountering supernatural entities. These entities instill fear in people, take control of their consciousness and drive them to suicide. Through her investigations, Hande discovers that a being known as “Dabbe’tül Arz” lies behind these events. This entity has initiated the final sign of the apocalypse by using the internet and jinn. Reality and nightmare have merged, and Türkiye has become the epicenter of the threat.

Dabbe is a Turkish horror thriller film written and directed by Hasan Karacadağ. The film was produced by Hasan Karacadağ, Ali Kaygısız and Kaan Girgin. Running 1 hour and 50 minutes (or 1 hour and 51 minutes according to some sources), it is a Türkiye production. It was released in cinemas on 10 February 2006. Filming took place in the Selçuk district of İzmir.

In Türkiye, during its opening weekend, it achieved a box office revenue of 614,896 Turkish Liras and attracted 85,008 viewers. Over its total 29-week theatrical run, the film generated 3,308,372 Turkish Liras in revenue and was watched by 539,381 spectators.
