Scream is a 1996 horror and thriller film directed by Wes Craven. The film centers on a group of teenagers in the town of Woodsboro who become targets of a mysterious serial killer known as Ghostface.

In the town of Woodsboro, a serial killer calls his victims, asking them questions about horror films before attacking them. This string of murders deeply affects Sidney Prescott, who witnessed her mother’s death a year earlier. The killer plays a game that requires the characters to be aware of and follow the rules of horror films. Sidney, alongside journalist Gale Weathers and Sheriff Dewey Riley, works to uncover the killer’s identity and survive.
