Claymore (Japanese: クレイモア, Hepburn: Kureimoa) is a manga series written and illustrated by Japanese manga artistNorihiro Yagi. It belongs to the dark fantasy, adventure, and drama genres. First published in 2001 in the magazine Monthly Shōnen Jump, the work has earned a cult status within its genre due to its original storyline, gothic atmosphere, and strong focus on female characters.

The series was published in 27 volumes (155 chapters) between 2001 and 2014. It began serialization in Monthly Shōnen Jump, continued in Weekly Shōnen Jump after the former's cancellation, and concluded in Jump Square. In 2007, it was adapted into a 26-episode animeseries by Madhouse studio. This act of rebellion prompted the Organization to send its execution unit, which included Priscilla, who lost control, became an Awakened Being, and killed Teresa.

• Anime Adaptation: The first 23 episodes remain faithful to the manga, but the final three episodes conclude with an original ending (after the Pieta battle) because the manga was still ongoing. As a result, the remaining epic storyline of the manga was not included in the anime.
