Cem Öğretir is one of the prominent figures with long-standing experience in television journalism and news presenting. He has served for many years as an anchor on main news bulletins and is known for his work in television journalism and diction. He is particularly recognized for his contributions to main news anchoring, oratory, and broadcasting training.

Cem Öğretir was born on 10 September 1973 in Norwich, England, and spent the first four years of his life in England. He later returned to Türkiye, where he completed his primary and secondary education in Eskişehir. He pursued higher education at the Faculty of Communication Sciences at Anadolu University, in the Cinema and Television Department, graduating in 1995. During his university years, he gained professional experience as a reporter, editor, announcer, and manager at TRT Radio, TRT 3 Genç Haber, and private radio stations.

Öğretir began his professional career in 1995 as a reporter on the program "32. Gün," directed by Mehmet Ali Birand. He subsequently gained experience at major Turkish media organizations: in 1996 at Show TV and in 1997 at Star TV news centers. In 2000 he joined CNN Türk and in 2008 Habertürk, serving in roles as editor, announcer, and reporter.

On 10 August 2009, he assumed the role of anchor for atv’s Main News program, a position he continues to hold today. His work has earned him numerous awards throughout his career. In addition to journalism, he also provides voiceovers for foreign films, animated films, and documentaries.

Öğretir has extended his professional experience into education, teaching courses in diction, presenting, broadcasting, and television production at various institutions since 2000. He also continues his outreach efforts through "Effective Communication" seminars held in different cities, targeting young people and organizations.

In 2006, he married Seda Öğretir, who is also a journalist and presenter. The couple has one daughter. Outside his professional life, Öğretir enjoys hobbies such as motorcycling, playing the guitar, and singing. He has also participated in joint presentations with his wife at national events such as the TOGG launch campaign.
