Captain Pengu and Friends: Mandalina’s Diary is a 2019 Turkish animated film directed by Nurullah Yenihan and Engin Baştürk. The film follows Captain Pengu as he searches for his lost friend Putuk amid melting glaciers caused by global warming, engaging in a struggle against environmental and ecological issues.

The daily melting of the glaciers where Captain Pengu and his penguin friends live creates new challenges for them. While Captain Pengu educates young penguins about environmental awareness, he learns that his closest friend, the polar bear Putuk, has fallen into the sea and gone missing. A letter from the Animal Council tasks him with investigating abnormal changes occurring across the world. This prompts Captain Pengu and his friends Misket, Pelik, and Mandalina to embark on an adventurous journey to find Putuk and save the planet.
