Azem 5: Zair is a 2025 Turkish horror film directed by Özgür Akbaş. The film explores the grieving process of a family who lost their young daughter in a tragic accident and becomes haunted by a spiritual entity nourished by their anguish.

The film tells the story of Canan and Levent, a couple who lose their young daughter Aslı in a sudden traffic accident. Despite the passage of months, Canan continues to speak to and play games with her daughter, convinced she is still alive. Her husband Levent struggles to preserve Canan’s mental well-being while confronting his own grief. Over time, unexplained phenomena begin to occur in the home: whistling sounds, objects moving on their own, and a terrifying figure that seems to envelop their daughter’s body. As the line between reality and nightmare gradually blurs, the couple finds themselves trapped in a terrifying struggle.

Azem 5: Zair is a Turkish horror film written and directed by Özgür Akbaş. Produced by RetroPro Filmworks and distributed by CJ ENM, the film’s cinematography was handled by Emrullah Kaymaz. It was released in Türkiye on 15 August 2025.
