ASELSAN - SSB Air Defense Systems Supply Contract (2026)

ASELSAN - Presidency of Defense Industries (SSB) Air Defense Systems Supply Contract is an agreement signed between ASELSAN and the Presidency of Defense Industries (SSB) covering the supply of systems for Türkiye’s air defense. According to ASELSAN’s announcement, the contract, with a total value of 780 million euros, was signed on 16 June 2026. The announcement regarding the contract was made on the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP).

In the announcement made to KAP by ASELSAN, a new partnership for the supply of air defense systems was disclosed. The announcement specified that deliveries under the contract will be carried out between 2028 and 2032. The contract aims to enhance Türkiye’s air defense capabilities through the procurement of integrated systems.

Developed under the coordination of the SSB, Çelik Kubbe is defined as a domestic and national “system of systems” that forms the layered air defense architecture of Türkiye. The Multi-Layered Air Defense System Çelik Kubbe aims to provide integrated defense against air threats emerging at various altitudes and ranges.

The system includes air defense weapon systems, radars, electro-optical solutions, communication modules, command and control stations, and artificial intelligence-enabled components, and aims to ensure coordinated operation of all components.

At the lowest altitude layer of Çelik Kubbe, Dronedef elements provide cost-effective defense against swarms of drones and kamikaze UAVs, alongside systems similar to KORKUT and GÜRZ. The medium layer of the system features the HİSAR air defense systems, while the upper layer includes the SİPER air defense systems.

The HAKİM command and control solution, developed by ASELSAN, will coordinate the system’s components, along with sensor and communication systems.
