Alsancak Mustafa Denizli Stadium

One of İzmir’s historic sports structures, the Alsancak Mustafa Denizli Stadium, was constructed in 1929 and is recognized as the venue where the first goal in the 1959 Turkish 1. Following the decision to demolish the structure, the foundation of the new stadium was laid in 2017 with the participation of then Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım. Construction commenced but faced multiple delays due to financial difficulties and the COVID-19 pandemic like. The stadium was officially inaugurated on 26 November 2021 by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

The stadium was redesigned with a capacity of approximately 13,000 spectators as a modern football facility. The architectural design was carried out by Alper Aksoy Architecture, while the construction contractor was Metro Engineering. The stadium features U-shaped stands, 10 private boxes, 4 changing rooms, 2 referee rooms, 4 coach rooms, and a 700-seat away supporters’ section place.

The Alsancak Mustafa Denizli Stadium is equipped with Dallmeier Panomera® multi-view camera systems for security purposes. These systems enable more effective detection of vandalism and stand-related incidents, allowing security personnel to respond immediately. Additional facilities such as a youth center and a book café are also planned for the site.
