The Ferit Akalın Radio and Communication Museum is located in the city of Çankırı, Türkiye. The museum is housed in the historic Sarıkadı Mansion. Historic mansions were homes where people lived in the past. Through its restoration, a new and engaging exhibition space has been created within this old building.

The museum’s most important pieces are radios donated by a collector named Ferit Akalın. Ferit Akalın, born in 1939 in Çankırı, was known locally as “Radio Ferit.” He was deeply interested in radio manufacturing and repair, and even invented a remote-controlled vehicle.

The museum displays approximately 90 radios from various periods spanning from 1923 to the 1970s. All of these radios have been restored and are fully functional. In addition, around 200 other communication devices used in the past can be seen, including telegraphs, vintage televisions, typewriters, letters, and local newspapers.
