Cüneyt Arkın, born Fahrettin Cüreklibatır, was born on 8 September 1937 in the village of Karaçay, located in the central district of Eskişehir. His father, Hacı Yakup Cüreklibatır, was a veteran of the Turkish War of Independence. Arkın completed his primary and secondary education in Eskişehir and graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at Istanbul University in 1961. During his university years, Arkın developed an interest in literature and the arts, and while practicing medicine, he sought wa
