Nevzat Akoral graduated from the Drawing and Craft Department of Gazi Teacher Training Institute. Following graduation, he worked as a drawing teacher in various teacher training schools and high schools. In 1962, he won a scholarship and traveled to the United States, where he studied graphic arts at Indiana University.
