
Ağadere Hospital and Cemetery was used as one of the important areas providing medical services behind the front lines during the Çanakkale Wars. Fire, by creating transformative effects in natural ecosystems, together also produces destructive consequences for human life and cultural heritage. Within this context, the Gallipoli Peninsula, one of Türkiye’s richest regions in terms of forest and most historically sensitive areas, suffered a major wildfire disaster on 25 July 1994.
