Nevşehir’in Avanos ilçesine bağlı Çavuşin Köyü girişinde yer alan Çavuşin Kilisesi, Göreme-Avanos yolu üzerinde ve Göreme’ye yaklaşık 2,5 kilometre uzaklıktadır. Doğal kayaya oyulmuş olan kilise, kaya içinde iki katlı olarak inşa edilmiştir. Alt katta keşiş odaları, üst katta ise ibadete açık kilise mekânı bulunmaktadır. Üst kata ulaşımı sağlayan doğal merdiven yıkılmış olup günümüzde sonradan eklenen demir bir merdivenle erişilmektedir. Kilise tek nefli, beşik tonozlu ve üç apsisli bir yapıdır.
