Tevfik

Tevfik derives from the Arabic root wfḳ, via the word tawfīḳ (توفيق). This term originates from the Arabic verb wafiḳa, which means “to be suitable” or “to harmonize.” The word fundamentally carries the meanings of “making suitable,” “achieving harmony,” and “bringing about success.” In Islamic usage, it has become especially common to denote “Allah’s granting a servant success in righteous and beneficial endeavors.”
