SAR 762 MT Series

SAR 762 MT Series, is a family of 7.62x51 mm machine guns designed and manufactured in Türkiye with indigenous engineering and design. The series includes models tailored for infantry use as well as variants adapted for vehicle-mounted installations.

SAR 762 MT fires 7.62x51 mm NATO ammunition. The weapon operates using a gas-operated system with an open-bolt mechanism. It employs M13-type disintegrating belts for feeding. Fire selection options include safe, single shot, and full automatic fire.

The effective range of the weapon is measured at 1,100 metres, with a maximum range of 3,725 metres. The barrel is designed for a minimum service life of 50,000 rounds. Additionally, the weapon is capable of operating reliably in temperature ranges from -42°C to +71°C.

SAR 762 MT-A is a rifle model designed for use in Remote Weapon Stations (RWS). It has been specifically developed for integration with 4x4 armoured vehicles. This variant has a barrel length of 670 millimetres and a total weight of 10.8 kilograms. The rate of fire ranges from 550 to 650 rounds per minute.
