The underground research facility known as the Hive, located near Raccoon City, is used by the Umbrella Corporation for biological and genetic experiments. The artificial intelligence system known as Red Queen, which controls the facility, quarantines the entire site due to the spread of the deadly T-virus. As the virus transforms the workers into zombies, Red Queen's system control is also threatened. Alice, a woman who has lost her memory, is drawn into the center of the events as part of the team.
