He was born on January 27, 1965, in the Hekimhan district of Malatya, Turkey. His mother’s family is from Elazığ, and his father is from Malatya. He spent his childhood years with his grandmother in the [Üsküdar](/en/detay/sinop-historical-prison-cdad3/llms.txt) district of Istanbul. Kaynarca completed his formal education at the Istanbul University State Conservatory, Department of Theater, and began his professional career on stage before transitioning into cinema and television. ### **Early Life and Education** Oktay Kaynarca completed his secondary education, first at Üsküdar High School and later at Hopa High School. Before university, he worked for a time as an electrical technician at a Fiat factory. During his university years, he appeared on stage and acted in TRT television series. His first stage experience was with Ege Tiyatrosu. ### **Theater Career** In 1991, Kaynarca appeared in the musical *Kan Kardeşleri* at Tiyatro Stüdyosu. He later acted in the 1993 production *Derin Bir Soluk Al*, which earned him the Best Supporting Actor award at the Avni Dilligil Theater Awards. In 2015, he played the lead role in the play *Guguk Kuşu*, staged by the Çolpan İlhan–Sadri Alışık Theater. ### **Television Career** Kaynarca made his television debut in 1989 with the TRT series *Gençler*.
