The [Mercedes-Benz E-Class](/en/detay/mercedes-benz-e-class-w214-46b17/llms.txt) is a luxury mid-size sedan and estate model produced by the German manufacturer Mercedes-Benz. First introduced in 1993, the E-Class was updated in 2023 with its sixth generation (W214). The model is offered with petrol, diesel, plug-in hybrid, and high-performance AMG powertrains.

### **Design and Structural Features**

The W214 E-Class is built on Mercedes-Benz’s MRA II platform. A wide front grille, DIGITAL LIGHT LED headlights, and an aerodynamic body design are among the defining elements of the model. It is manufactured in both Sedan and Estate (station wagon) body types.

The E-Class (W214) is offered in European and Turkish markets with four- and six-cylinder mild-hybrid petrol, diesel, and plug-in hybrid engines.

**Mild-Hybrid Petrol Engines (with EQ Boost):**

- E 200: 2.0L turbo, 204 hp
- E 300: 2.0L turbo, 258 hp
- E 450 4MATIC: 3.0L 6-cylinder turbo, 381 hp

**Diesel Engines (with EQ Boost):**

- E 220 d: 2.0L diesel, 197 hp

**Plug-in Hybrid Engines:**

- E 300 e: 2.0L turbo + electric motor, 313 hp combined, approx. 100 km electric range (WLTP)

All engines are paired with a 9-speed 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission. The 4MATIC all-wheel drive system is standard on selected versions.

The E-Class achieved a 5-star rating in Euro NCAP crash tests.
