### **Location and History**

Kayme Palace is situated to the north of the old settlement area of Bağlar Village in Şemdinli, and to the west of the current village houses. The structure has a rectangular plan oriented along the north-south axis and was built as a two-story building. According to information derived from inscriptions, the construction of the palace took place between 1912 and 1914. Some sources suggest that it may have been completed earlier, between 1909 and 1911. Although the inscriptions do not mention a name, it is believed that the palace was commissioned by Seyit Muhammed Sıddık, the son of Seyit Ubeydullah.

### **Architectural Features**

The palace measures 18.8 by 24 meters, with the main entrance located on the northern façade. Inscriptions dated 1330 (1912) and 1332 (1914) are found at the right and left corners of the entrance. While the northern and western walls have survived in relatively good condition, the eastern and southern walls are only partially standing. The roof structure has completely collapsed.
