## Article Content

**Humain** is a fully integrated artificial intelligence ([AI](/en/detay/ai-is-everywhere-so-what-is-this-ai-56ad7/llms.txt)) technology company founded in [2025](/en/detay/2025-g20-leaders-summit-b42c6/llms.txt) by the [Public Investment Fund (PIF) of Saudi Arabia](/en/detay/public-investment-fund-of-saudi-arabia-ca510/llms.txt). Headquartered in Riyadh, [Humain](/en/detay/humain-87213/llms.txt) provides end-to-end AI solutions spanning infrastructure to applications and engages in strategic partnerships aligned with Saudi Arabia’s goal of becoming a global AI hub. The company's initiatives are in line with the [Vision 2030](/en/detay/vision-2030-plan-bc373/llms.txt) objectives, emphasizing digital transformation, data sovereignty, and economic diversification.

### **Establishment**

Humain was established under the leadership of Saudi Crown Prince and PIF Chairman [Mohammed bin Salman](/en/detay/visit-of-saudi-arabia-crown-prince-mohammed-bin-sa/llms.txt). It functions not only as a policy-shaping office for AI but also as an operational entity that builds data centers, procures hardware, trains models, and develops AI applications. The CEO of Humain is Tareq Amin. The company aims for global expansion with planned offices in the United States and Europe, in addition to its operations in Saudi Arabia.

### **Infrastructure**

Humain has committed significant investments to build hyperscale AI data centers. In the initial phase, the company procured over 18,000 Nvidia GB300 Grace Blackwell GPUs for facilities with a total planned capacity of 500 MW. These centers are designed to establish a sovereign AI cloud infrastructure and facilitate the development of Arabic-language foundation models.

In collaboration with Qualcomm, Humain is developing hybrid cloud-edge architectures with solutions tailored for edge devices using Snapdragon and Dragonwing processors. Furthermore, a semiconductor design center will be established in cooperation with the Saudi Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.

### **AI Models and Applications**

Humain develops multimodal AI models, including **ALLAM** (Arabic Large Language and Multimodal Model), created in collaboration with the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA). The company has also deployed Nvidia’s Omniverse platform in a multi-tenant environment, enabling applications such as digital twins and physical simulations for use in manufacturing, logistics, and energy sectors.

Through a technological partnership with [Groq](/en/detay/groq-224f5/llms.txt), Humain operates open-source models like [Llama](/en/detay/lambda-2e285/llms.txt), Mixtral, Whisper, and Gemma on Groq’s LPU (Language Processing Unit) hardware. This configuration, integrated with Groq’s compiler and runtime system, is designed for high-speed, low-cost inference in real-time applications.

### **Education and Workforce Development**

In addition to infrastructure investments, Humain runs large-scale training programs to develop human capital. These programs, implemented with Nvidia and Amazon Web Services (AWS), aim to equip thousands of developers with skills in AI, simulation, robotics, and digital twin technologies. The Amazon Academy, established in collaboration with AWS, provides free training and certification in cloud computing and generative AI (genAI).

### **Strategic Partnerships and Investments**

Humain’s global technology partners include Nvidia, AMD, AWS, Qualcomm, Cisco, LUMA, and SDAIA. The strategic partnership with Nvidia focuses on establishing AI factories to transform Saudi Arabia’s digital infrastructure. A separate investment exceeding $5 billion with AWS supports the creation of a dedicated “AI Zone” to develop advanced AI solutions for both the public and private sectors. These efforts are partly integrated with a new AWS infrastructure region scheduled to go live in 2026.

#### **Future Outlook**

Humain positions itself not only as an infrastructure provider but also as a model developer, application producer, and data manager, to play a central role in the global AI landscape. In line with Saudi Arabia’s sovereign data policy, the company seeks to produce AI solutions that are compatible with local language, culture, and systems, thereby contributing to the development of digital content and services specific to the Arab world.

Humain is also addressing concerns related to energy consumption and data privacy by exploring technologies that support sustainability goals and infrastructure efficiency. Its long-term vision is to ensure that Saudi Arabia evolves not only as a user but also as a producer of AI technologies.
