Fersude

Fersûde has entered Turkish from the Persian word فرسوده (fersūde). The term is derived from the Persian verb farsūdan, which means “to become old, to wear out, to deteriorate,” and is used to describe objects that have aged or become worn through use.

• Literature: Particularly favored in classical and modern literary texts to describe the physical condition of people, their clothing, or the worn state of places.
