Evolution

Tekâmül has been adopted into Turkish from the Arabic word takāmul (تكامل). This word is derived from the Arabic root kml, which carries the meanings of “to be complete,” “to mature,” and “to attain proficiency.” The term Tekâmül, evolving from this root, acquired the meanings of “completion,” “maturation,” and “perfection.”

• Social and Historical Studies: Used to denote the development of societies, institutions, and civilizations over time.
• Literature and Art: Describes the evolution of a writer, artist, or work in terms of style and content.
• Science and Philosophy: Expresses the progressive advancement of ideas, theories, and knowledge systems.
• Biology: Used to describe how living species change and undergo evolution over time.
