Protected under the Protected Geographical Indication in accordance with Industrial Property Law No. 6769, it was officially registered on October 9, 2020. Therefore, all stages of production must take place within the boundaries of Bartın province. ### **Product Characteristics** This dessert is a light delicacy made with pumpkin and walnut. Traditionally, it has been prepared in small home ovens after weekly bread baking in households throughout the region. Utilizing locally abundant pumpkin and walnuts, the recipe has been passed down through generations. The rolls are arranged in a circular pattern on a greased tray, brushed with melted margarine or butter, and baked in an oven at 180°C without fan for 45–50 minutes. The syrup is prepared by boiling water, sugar, and lemon juice, then cooled. Once the baked dessert cools slightly, cold syrup is poured over it, and it is covered with a cloth to absorb the syrup.
