**Aladağlar National Park**, located between Türkiye's Central Anatolia and Mediterranean regions, is one of the important protected areas notable for its natural richness, endemic flora, geological formations, and wildlife. The area, declared a national park in 1995, is located within the borders of Niğde, [Kayseri](/en/detay/nigde-1c815/llms.txt), and [Adana](/en/detay/adana-province-1a45f/llms.txt) provinces. Its total area is 55,065 hectares.

### **Geographical Location and Natural Structure**

The national park is located on the **Aladağlar Mountains**, one of the highest and most rugged massifs of the [Taurus Mountains](/en/detay/taurus-mountains-a633f/llms.txt). The highest peak of the park is **Demirkazık Peak**, reaching 3,756 meters. Aladağlar has a complex geological structure where volcanic and sedimentary rocks are seen together. Deep valleys, steep cliffs, glacial cirques, and mountain lakes are among the main elements of this structure. **Kapuzbaşı Waterfalls**, located in the northeast of the park, are among the significant natural areas notable for their water masses falling from a height of approximately 70 meters.

Along with tree species such as Taurus cedar, black pine, juniper, and oak, there is a rich shrub and herbaceous vegetation.
